Old World was a game project I worked on with other students near a year after Adal’s Vikings. It is a 3rd/1st person puzzle-platformer, with inspiration from games like Portal and Legend of Zelda.

In this game I was lead Level Designer, and created the core gameplay for the game and implementing several unique mechanics in several large Legend of Zelda-esque dungeons.

Sadly we took too much work on ourselves, and only have a few first rooms for a single dungeon actually implemented in Unity that are playable and functional.

Old World Mechanics
The Design document behind the design of the unique mechanics of the game. Here IÂ describe every player gameplay ability and item, from the Prism/Lens to the Tech Glove, and their uses
Old World Flowchart
The Design document for the first wing of the first dungeon, detailing the how-to for each room and what to do in them; The puzzles and the solutions.

Designed to be basic but challenging at times: Teach the players the new mechanics and then one huge trial where they all come into play
Old World Helper
This was more of a discussion-document that detailed different versions of a helper system, to assist players who get stuck (if necessary)

This was never implemented
