the About Dud
I'm Dud, and this site is my collection of work;
but this page is the one about me.
I’m an creative digital designer, with main interests being systems with a strong social aspect. Games that I could enjoy with friends, both old and ones I meet through the game; Games such as Destiny, World of Warcraft, Dark souls, Helldivers etc.
My steam library alone is 450+ games, so the list does go on for quite a bit.
My passion lies within the experiences I can create for people, and the emotions they experience through them.
My first real interaction with this was watching Blizzcon 2007, seeing the reveal for Wrath of the Lich King. I heard the crowds roar, I could feel the emotions of the crowd, and it moved me to tears.
That's what I want to create. I want to create an experience that will move people in a fundamental and personal way, an experience that inspires them to set out themselves to create something.
I’ve got a Bachelor’s Degree in IT and computer design. My skills are focused on both concept design, UX design and community management. I have a basic understanding of fundamental programming, more specifically C# and C++, with previous projects being based in the game engines Unreal and Unity.
In my spare time, I enjoy creating, socializing, and reading. I usually try and prioritize these when I can, and even more so when I can do several of them at once; for example, I act as a Dungeon Master (DM, the leader position that designs the adventure and plays the roles of all non-player characters) for my friends in 3 separate Dungeons and Dragons group.
I also try and stay active in communities with such activities, like the game Destiny’s community, RaidSecrets. A community dedicated to solving the intricate puzzles the game developers hide in the game. I prefer the role of acting as a runner (who tests theories), or as an archivist, who collects information and compiles it in message-posts so that everyone can share in the experience and understand what’s happening and how it’s being done.
I tend to create such communities myself when I can: In my history of gaming, I have very often created different Guilds/Clans/Teams/communities of members, where we gather people with similar interests and together enjoy them. Currently I’m one of the leaders of a group of 350+ something people, Fireteam Ragnarök, which started as a Clan for the game Destiny 2, but now we’ve spread over into other games and interests as well.
I want to create games, worlds, experiences, that touches the user’s emotion. I want to create something that inspires people in the thousands to gather, interact, and to cheer with pride, something that drives people to do good, to be good. Something that makes people happy.
My name is Christoffer, but you can call me Dud;

and hopefully soon, much more.
